About Me:
I have been mystified with yoga from the first class I attended at the age of 15 when I was traveling in Bali. I didn’t really understand what it was all about and to be honest, I still don’t but that’s what I love about the practice - it’s a never ending mystery to unravel! I’m a huge foodie and get so much joy from exploring new foods and sharing meals with the people I love.
I get so excited to venture to new places and meet new people. I love going to concerts and dance until the last note plays. My parents took me to my first reggae show at the age of ten and I’m so grateful for my early musical education. Any chance I get, I’ll bust out in a little boogie whenever I need to make myself or someone else smile!
Most memorable yoga experience?
One of the first studios that became my ‘home’ early on after my training was called WHY in West Hartford, Connecticut. In most of the classes the teachers were inspired by Ana Forrest and would encourage radical honesty and self expression which was often interpreted as moaning and audible sighing. At the time I felt so uncomfortable in those spaces but now fast forward to nearly twenty years later, I absolutely love to be vocal in classes and think back fondly to the awkward start!
