Eliza Hilmer (she/her)
Teaching Crew

Eliza was born in Lithuania, then was displaced during the war as a refugee in Finland, and welcomed as a migrant here in Australia. Since then she has travelled, lived and worked abroad regularly to help understand the world and people with a deeper and wider lens. After spending the “best years of her life” in chronic pain, suffering regular dislocations, she came to the practice as an alternative last try instead undergoing a double knee reconstruction… the surgery was then cancelled as her body began to rebuild itself before her eyes to the point it is unrecognisable.

She holds training is Vinyasa, Yin, Trauma Informed Yoga, advances sequencing and Sound Healing. Her offerings focus on embodiment, strong vinyasa flow, energetics, pranayama and mediation.

Eliza practices and teaches Yoga because it allowed her to rebuild her body. It gave her a sanctuary to live in, not a prison to escape from. She wants to help others do the same.
