My Teaching Style
Each of our teachers take inspiration from their lineage of yoga and personal practise when designing their classes, so this is a little bit more about how I uniquely deliver each style of class:
Mellow Hum: I teach a very slow yin style inspired class. Through long holds, slow movement and restorative asana I hope you help students to completely slow down and relax from everyday life and the fluctuations of our busy minds.
Unified Hum: I like to welcome all levels of experience to my classes. Any student looking to build more strength and stability in their practice or maybe be introduced to some arm balancing or inversions, I like to start from the base and slowly build to finally offer that peak pose.
Dynamic Hum: I hope to offer a strong flowing class, with intelligent sequencing focusing on opening, releasing or softening one or two areas within the body. Expect to hold poses from 3-5 breaths and maybe try something (crazy) you haven't tried before.
I am an Aussie yogi from Sydney, Australia now living in NYC with my husband and pug. I love animals (particularly dogs but I don't discriminate), I love the beach, I love the sun and I don't mind a glass of wine.
I have been practicing yoga for over 7 years and teaching for 4.
I am so thankful I found yoga & yoga found me ;) I completed my YTT with Yoga Arts in Bali Indonesia. A as big lover of mindfulness I have a very big personal and teaching focus of linking breath to movement.
Tulum, Mexico! & Sydney, Australia (home).
Why we love yoga
I love that I can go to any country, go to a yoga class and it really does feel like home. I love the way yoga makes me feel within. I feel more connected to myself and the people around me, there is no limit to what yoga can do for mind, body and spirit.
