My Teaching Style
My classes are designed to connect breath to movement, regardless of intensity. Breath is the closest thing that we have to the self, and it is with you in every moment. I teach as a guide to the class, but my students are encouraged to go on their own journey. I practice yoga with the intentions of listening, and at times challenging the body to grow deeper into a true home and good space.
“Yoga is the journey of the self through the self to the self”
-The Bhagavad Gita
I am a professional classical dancer from Los Angeles! I found yoga through dance injuries, and now it is part of my daily routine. Yoga helps bring my awareness back to what feels like my truest self in the present. I only moved to NYC in June of 2018, and I already feel so thankful for this incredibly strengthening journey.
I love dogs, sunshine, and fresh fruit!
Most memorable yoga experience?
Doing a chakra meditation during my Teacher Training and staying in Savasana for a full 20 minutes after class!
When I’m not teaching Yoga, you’ll find me……
in a dance studio!.
“And still, after all this time, The Sun never says to the Earth, “You owe Me.”
Look what happens with a love like that. It lights the Whole Sky.” -Hafiz
