Q.How experienced do I need to be to attend Humming Puppy?

A. Our yoga is for everyone. You don’t have to be bendy, uber fit or a size 6. We include, welcome and love students of all levels and our classes are reflective of this.

Q.What kind of yoga is Humming Puppy?

A. We base our teachings on the principles of breath-pranayama, movement-asana and awareness-meditation. These principles are the foundation of our 4 class styles.

Q.How long is each class?

A. Our classes are between 60 and 90 minutes.

Q.Is Humming Puppy ‘hot’ yoga?

A. No, Humming puppy is ‘warm’ yoga. Our shala is a climate controlled 28 degrees celcius and beautifully ventilated for your comfort.

Q.Why do you hum?

A. We hum in order to achieve a specific frequency and vibration (40Hz). Frequencies and vibrations are everywhere and whilst you can't see them, everything around you (including yourself) is actually vibrating in a combination of harmonious frequencies. We like to think of our classes and your practice as another awesome piece of this universal symphony.

Q.Do I need to bring my own mat?

A. No you don’t. We provide all students with mats by Manduka - considered the best in the business!  They are closed cell, contain no latex and are meticulously cleaned and sanitized before each and every class.

Q.Do I need to bring my own blocks and straps?

A. No, we also set up your reserved mat with blocks and straps.

Q.So what do I need to bring to a Humming Puppy class?

A. Just bring yourself and clothes for the class you feel comfortable in. We’ve also provided complimentary towels, toiletries and hair dryers for after your class as well as refreshments of purified water, coconut water and teas.
